DAN 111 — Intro to the Art Of Dance
This course is a study of dance as an art form including dance origins, politics, ritual, classism, modernism, contemporary turns, and the popular. Relationship of dance to other arts culturally, socially, and politically will be discussed. Students will learn through film, selected texts, and attend off campus events.
