FYS 100 — First Year Success Seminar
The First Year Success Seminar offers a College Knowledge curriculum to new students enrolled in an FYE Learning Community. This eight-week course offered in the first half of the semester is designed to help students develop knowledge and skills to successfully navigate QCC processes and to make use of campus resources to thrive academically and build toward post-college goals. Lessons include college success skills, peer networking, financial literacy, and degree and career planning. Students enrolled in the FYE Learning Community are supported by a team of faculty, staff, and a peer mentor who are invested in their success and focus on fostering a sense of belonging in a culture of care.
