HA 201 — Eastern Massage III

2 credits · 2 hours

This course combines lecture, focused on presenting the advanced concepts of Eastern healing, with practicum experience in advanced level techniques in Shiatsu. It builds upon the foundations established in Eastern Massage I & II as students further refine their intellectual and palpatory skills. Students learn how to evaluate the energetic state of a client, and develop a professional treatment strategy that includes appropriate documentation. Proper body mechanics, fluidity, and stretching techniques continue to be emphasized in the practicum. Students are also introduced to other Eastern healing methods.
