Designed to provide students with an introduction to topics necessary for the understanding of statistics. The emphasis is on the mathematical skills germane to understanding probability, statistics, and linear programing. Topics will include applications of linear equations, problem solving strategies, basic concepts in probability, descriptive statistics, the normal distribution, correlation, and linear regression.
