MUS 105 — Music Around the World
A non-technical survey of the folk and traditional music of various cultures - American, Hispanic, African, Near Eastern, and Far Eastern. Listening techniques and basic musical terms included. Emphasis on understanding music in its cultural context. Required readings, listening, and concert attendance.
