MUSC 270 - Composition and Song Writing MUSC 270 - Composition and Song Writing (2,2) 3 Credits This course will offer an introduction to music composition. Through the analysis of previously existing works, the completion of directed composition exercises and coached work on independent composition projects the student will develop an understanding of how the elements of music—form, texture, timbre, melody, harmony and rhythm—are coordinated by the composer to generate expressive content.
