AHS 1123 — MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY
This course presents a study of basic medical terminology. Prefixes, suffixes, word roots, combining forms, special endings, plural forms, abbreviations and symbols are included in the content. Programmed learning resources, individual and group presentati ons, seminars and independent study are utilized to build study skills in constructing/analyzing new terms. Emphasis is Catalog 2025-2026 Redlands Community College Section III-Course Descriptions placed on spelling, definition, usage , and pronunciation. Abbreviations are also introduced as related terms are presented. (Spring, Summer, Fall)
