BISC 1115 — PRINCIPLES OF BIOLOGY WITH LAB
This course includes an introduction to the integration between structure and function among all levels of biological organization. Application of principles utilizing the scientific method for studying cell structure/function, evolution, genetics, anatom y, physiology, and ecology are emphasized. The investigative laboratory introduces important techniques and methodologies used to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills with additional comprehensive instrumentation, observation, and evaluation utilizing “hypothesis-based” inquiry. This course is intended for Pre-Professional Science majors-Life Science option. 3 hours lecture credit, 2 hours lab credit. (Fall) BOTANY
