CD 2053 — CHILD GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
This course emphasizes the knowledge necessary to understand factors that influence the development of young children and the sequence and interdependency of physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language development in children from birth to age eight. Covered also is the development and interdependency of all developmental areas to meet the needs of the group and individual while respecting each child’s unique rates of development. The course combines classroom instruction, hands -on activities and ob servation of children in group care to develop competence in working with young children. (Fall)
