CD 2173 — COGNITIVE SKILLS FOR CHILDREN
Catalog 2025-2026 Redlands Community College Section III-Course Descriptions This course explores theories of cognitive development and learning styles. Discussion will center on how to integrate curriculum and instructional strategies to encourage children’s critical thinking, problem solving, performance and technological skills. The course combines classroom instruction, hands -on activities and observations of children in group care and it provides opportunities to apply theories of cognitive development and learning styles to the design, development, implementation and modification of differing instructional approaches based upon children’s individual cognitive development and learning styles.
