CHEM 1415 — GENERAL CHEMISTRY II WITH LAB

Prerequisite: CHEM 1315 General Chemistry I with Lab (or equivalent) A continuation of CHEM 1315 General Chemistry I with Lab to include a study of chemical kinetics, chemical equilibria, solubility products, redox reactions, electrochemistry, chemical thermodynamics, nuclear chemistry, metallic/transitional elements, quali tative analysis, organic chemistry / biochemistry and nuclear chemistry. Emphasis will be placed on chemical analysis utilizing instrumental methods. Laboratory activities will correspond with the topics in lecture and will serve to reinforce these concepts through hands -on learning. 3 hours lecture, 2 hours lab credit.
