ENGL 0013 — FUNDAMENTALS OF READING AND
WRITING This course is offered to give students an opportunity to improve their basic reading and writing skills through a curriculum of vocabulary and comprehension and rules of grammar and organization. Assignments will focus on application of reading and writing skills for the college classroom as well as practical life environments. Students must earn a letter grade of a “C” or higher to continue the English course sequence. Co-Requisite: ENGL 1113 English Composition I This course assists students in developing reading and writing strategies that will benefit them for success in future college classes in their chosen academic programs. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of developing listening, reading, and writing skills. Students will focus on the foundational building blocks of reading and writing to enhance their success in the co- requisite English Composition I experience.
