SOC 1121 — 3 INTRODUCTION TO SERVICE
LEARNING Prerequisite: ENGL1113 English Composition I By combining academic theory with practical real -life experience, service- learning provides students with a broader and deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the community and fosters the students’ sense of civic engagement. This course provides academic-based, community service projects and adheres to the principles of Campus Compact. Credit hours earned will depend upon the amount of time the student plans to invest each week in the service project. (Spring, Summer, Fall)
