The Aquaculture Technology degree program prepares individuals for careers in aquaculture and management of aquatic ecosystems by providing the training and experience required for immediate employment in the field or transfer to a bachelor's program in aquaculture or fisheries biology. The program provides a broad background in applied science and math as well as specialized coursework and hands-on experience in finfish and shellfish culture, production, and management. Program graduates are prepared for employment opportunities in private aquaculture facilities, government hatcheries, or in entrepreneurial ventures focused on finfish or shellfish farming.
