Forestry and Natural Resources
The Forestry and Natural Resources Certificate of Achievement provides the foundational knowledge and field skills required for students seeking a role as an entry level technician. Career opportunities include forestry, natural resources, wildlife, parks and outdoor recreation, fisheries, rangeland and watershed technician positions. A combination of classroom and field-based learning opportunities provides applied ecological and technical knowledge. The experiential lab environment introduces students to skills used in careers working in natural resources ensuring they safely apply appropriate field methodologies in a forest environment. This certificate can be completed in one year for students with existing BS wanting to gain foundational skills in forestry and natural resources, or for students transferring who should complete foundational coursework to prepare for upper division
