Liberal Arts: Behavioral & Social Science
The Behavioral and Social Science AA degree is designed to demonstrate the connections between the behavioral and social sciences, as well as the way in which each discipline provides a unique perspective on humanity. It includes an introduction to three fields, with at least three elective courses within the student’s chosen interest area(s). Many of the courses included in this degree are lower-division requirements for majors at four-year institutions. However, a student is advised to speak to a counselor about which courses may apply to a specific four-year institution’s degree program. Students with the intent of pursuing a specific degree in the behavioral and social sciences at a California State University should consider an Associate of Arts for Transfer degree.
