Mathematics for Transfer

This four-semester Associate in Science in Mathematics for Transfer degree provides a student with the general introductory requirements for transferring to a California State University (CSU), or other four-year school, to earn a bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field. Students gain a fundamental understanding of mathematical theory and applications. They also gain an understanding of the role that definitions, theorems, and proofs play in mathematics. Upon transfer to the CSU system, students may pursue bachelor's degrees in fields such as: Mathematics, Statistics, Applied mathematics, Mathematics education, Computational mathematics science, Actuarial science. This Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelor's degree in this discipline, or a “similar pathway,” at a CSU campus.
