MAST 205 - Asian Bodywork Modalities MAST 205 - Asian Bodywork Modalities 3 Total Credits This course offers a theoretical and hands-on introduction to various Asian Bodywork modalities including acupressure, massage cupping, shiatsu, Thai massage, Jin Shin Do and Acutonics & Ohm Therapeutics (utilizing tuning forks). The focus of this class will be hands-on practice of Asian Bodywork modalities integrated into a Swedish massage or treatment massage. For example, Shiatsu will be introduced with applications modified for use with a massage table rather than a mat. Foundational theories will be introduced with direct connections to assessment and treatment. Acupressure point protocols will include treatment for general support and wellness, as well as specific treatment.
