SOC 1320 — — American Cultural Diversity

Introduces students to a sociological framework for understanding the dynamics and implications of a multicultural society. Issues addressed include the social construction of race; immigration; human diversity in culture, gender, sexual orientation, and age; race and ethnic relations; and the influence of social institutions on public perceptions of and responses to diversity.
