EASCI 220 — Intro to Physical Geology

is an introduction to the study of physical geology and gives students a basic understanding of the processes that shape the earth. Topics include plate tectonics, volcanism, rocks and minerals, landforms and the various processes that shape landforms. Lab activities include the hands-on study of rocks and minerals, as well as the use of topographic maps and computer simulations. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; group requirements include natural/physical science; areas of concentration include earth science (credit hours 4.0, lecture hours 3.0, lab hours 2.0).
