ENGL 240 — Film and Literature

examines the formal, thematic, and historical relationships between literary and cinematic forms. Through careful reading/viewing, discussion, and written analysis of novels, short stories, plays, and their cinematic adaptations, students will come to a greater understanding of the characteristics of each medium. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; group requirements include humanities, fine arts; areas of concentration include English (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 3.0).
