explores the study of health information management in various healthcare settings (e.g., hospital-based care, long-term care, home health care, ambulatory care, correctional facilities, and substance abuse facilities). Topics such as documentation requirements, licensure and accreditation standards, quality assessment, utilization review, funding, reimbursement, information management, data flow, coding, data sets, risk management, and trends will be covered. This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 3.0).
