ADR 1420 — Activity Interventions and Engagement Techniques

This course will cover the various intervention and engagement techniques that activity professionals use in working with the elderly. Topics discussed include communication, sensory stimulation, reality orientation, validation therapy, reminiscing, and nontraditional activity programming. The course will also include an introduction to therapeutic modalities such as music, pet, art, aromatherapy, horticulture, and others.
