CMST 2270 — Intercultural Communication

This course covers the relationship between communication and culture to improve intercultural communication competency in our local communities and global society. Culture is defined broadly to include differences in nationality, race, ethnicity, class, gender, religion, and other facets of identity. This study of communication among people from different cultures and co-cultures includes an exploration of cultural values, beliefs, norms, and biases. Students will learn how their own culture and the culture of others impact communication in a variety of settings.
