DDCM 2142 — Interface Design

This course will explore user interface design analyzing how a user interacts with and experiences digital interfaces ensuring the interface has elements that are easy to access, understand, and use. Students will explore concepts of interaction design, visual design, and information architecture. Interface design topics will include perception, usability, navigation, accessibility, graphic design including color, layout, and typography and usability testing. Students will work through the interface design process which consists of eight key phases: persona definition, task analysis diagrams, flow charts and site maps, wireframes, style sheets, asset lists, concept designs, and prototype testing.
