EMSP 1520 — Patient Assessment and Pharmacology
This course focuses on patient assessment, the emergency response, and medication administration. Topics include acquiring patient health history, physical examination, communication skills, and medical documentation. This course covers medications commonly used in the pre-hospital setting, how these medications work, and how they are administered. Medication administration skills include working with oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular (IM), intraocular (IO), and intravenous (IV) meds.
