GSWS 1491 — OSHA Construction Industry/First Aid
This course provides emergency care instruction for anyone who works with the public. It includes legal rights of the injured, treatment for obstructed airway, management of cardiac arrest using an automatic defibrillator, management of fractures, spinal injury, and medical emergencies until the ambulance arrives. Successful students will receive First Aid and CPR certification. This course combines the OSHA 10 hour course designed to familiarize workers with OSHA standards as well as safety and health hazards common to the construction industry, with First Aid and CPR certification readiness. Upon completion, students will have a foundation to identify, avoid, control, and prevent jobsite hazards.
