MATH 2010 — Elementary Statistics

This is an introductory course in descriptive statistics, probability, random variables, and inferential statistics. Topics include grouping and graphing data, study designs, sampling methods, basics of probability and distributions, the normal distribution, the central limit theorem, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing for one and two samples, linear regression, and correlation analysis. This course is designed to help students learn statistical concepts and techniques used in a variety of fields and includes the use of formulas and technology to carry out statistical methods.
