This course introduces the fundamental mathematical and accounting concepts used in business operations. Students learn to perform common business calculations involving decimals, percentages, rounding, markups, markdowns, commissions, and trade discounts. The course also covers basic accounting principles, including the accounting equation and the construction of simple financial statements such as the income statement and balance sheet. Emphasis is placed on applying practical math and accounting skills to real-world business situations.
