WELD 1326 — Shielded Metal Arc Welding Shop 2
In a shop-setting, students will learn horizontal, vertical, and overhead shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) techniques in accordance with AWS and ASME welding procedures. Learners will weld common joint types in various thicknesses with 6010 and 7018 electrodes. Students will also weld sheet metal with 6011 or 6013 electrodes. Proficiency will be demonstrated by qualification welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
