SOC245 — Social Deviance
This course explores the social construction of deviance and deviant behavior, with an emphasis on the connections between deviant behavior, societal reactions, and social control. Various forms of deviant behavior, theoretical perspectives, concepts, and methods used by sociologists to describe and explain deviance and conformity are examined. Prerequisites: None.
