CHM 10100 — Inorganic Chemistry I
This is the first of a two-semester sequence for students who intend to major in a science related field. Topics include: study of matter, measurements, atoms, compounds and ions, nomenclature, the electronic structure of the atom, the periodic table, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, chemical bonds and structures, and the behavior of gases. Laboratory experiments presented to reinforce theoretical aspects.
