ENG 22400 — Modern Fiction

This course is a cross section of modern fiction to discover what theories, techniques, and concerns define a work of literature as “modern.” We will review short fiction and novels by writers such as: Achebe, Kafka, Allende, Sahni, Faulkner, Hyosŏk, Morrison, Murakami, Wharton, Garcia Marquez, Munro, Thiongo, Woolf, Wright, and Alexie.

Prerequisites: ENG 10100, ENG 10200
