The American Heart Association’s (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS HCP) course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals and first responders (including lifeguards, coaches, and athletic trainers) the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Upon successful completion of the practical and written examinations at the end of the course, students will obtain AHA certification for BLS for Healthcare Providers.
