MUS 16000 — Digital Music Production

Students will operate digital and analog audio equipment to explore basics in sound design, audio editing, sampling, MIDI sequencing, and mixing. Produce beats and songs in a Digital Audio Workstation with hands-on experience in a studio production lab. Examine the history of audio recording, digital music, and stereo mixing through the works of acclaimed producers George Martin, Teo Macero, Brian Eno, Nigel Goodrich, Rick Rubin, J Dilla, and Danger Mouse.
