ECE-101 — The Developing Child

This course provides a foundation in the theory and principles of the developmental continuum from conception to age 8. It includes an in-depth study of the developmental domains, as well as an examination of current research and major developmental theories. Students will explore child development within a diverse socio-cultural context with an emphasis on the implications for early childhood professional practice. Ten (10) hours of supervised field experience is required for successful completion of the course.
