ALT-110 — Energy Auditing for Resid Bldg
This course will assist students to understand single-family buildings and how residential structures interact with the internal systems and loads and external loads and impacts. Students will need to travel to various off-campus residential locations to perform hands-on energy audit procedures. This course is essentially divided into three sections: 1. Building Science and Building Systems; 2. Energy Auditing, Practices and Procedures; and 3. The Economics of Energy Upgrades. There will be an emphasis on exploring "green" employment opportunities. This course will prepare students to take the Building Performance Institute's (BPI) Building Analyst certification. (2/2/0)
