This course is designed to give the student a basic knowledge of current forms of alternative energy, such as solar thennal, solar electric (photovoltaic), hydroelectric, bioenergy (ethanol, pyrolysis), ocean energy, wind, and geothennal. There is an emphasis on alternative electric generation. Energy conversions and the socio-economic implications of alternative sources will be presented.
