DHY-252 — Prin of Dental Hygiene IV
This course is designed to equip students with advanced theoretical knowledge in dental hygiene. This course explores complex patient care considerations, including substance misuse, eating disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities, with an emphasis on interprofessional collaboration and patient-centered care. Students will gain in-depth knowledge of orofacial clefts, neurological disabilities, and maxillofacial trauma. Development of ethical reasoning skills related to informed consent, core values, jurisprudence, and professional decision-making will also be emphasized. The course also addresses critical aspects of practice management, career development, and alternative practice models, preparing students for diverse professional opportunities. 2/0/0
