3 Lecture Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: ENGL 060 or ENGL 100 This course studies violence and crime in America through historical perspectives, theory, diverse acts of violence, the media and statistical trends. Specific violent crimes, such as homicide, family violence, sexual assault, workplace violence, hostage-taking and serial crimes are surveyed.
