DENT 110 — Dental Radiology
2 Lecture Hours, 6 Lab Hours, 4 Credits Prerequisites: SPEH 101, DENT 101, ENGL 101 Corequisites: DENT 102, DENT 105, DENT 107 This course is pending approval by the New Jersey Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners. The purpose of this course is to introduce the dental assisting student, through lecture and lab, to the basic radiologic principles of intraoral and extraoral imaging for dentoalveolar structures. The radiographic examination plays an integral role in the diagnostic process in dentistry in conjunction with the clinical examination. Dental assistants must be proficient with intraoral and extraoral techniques to fulfill their roles as licensed dental radiologic technologists
