EDUC 226 — Principles and Pedagogies in the Inclusive Classroom
2 Lecture Hours, 2 Credits Prerequisites: ENGL 060 or ENGL 100 Restricted to AS EDU majors only. This course introduces educational principles and pedagogies that promote the use of positive, universal classroom management techniques. Students will be empowered to articulate common academic language as it relates to the cycle of teaching and learning; create connections between educational philosophies, beliefs, and dispositions; and embrace universal, proactive supports and strategies for creating effective learning communities to promote a positive school climate.
