EMGM 101 — Introduction to Emergency Management
and Homeland Security 3 Lecture Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: None This course will focus on a comprehensive overview of the discipline of emergency management and homeland security. Attention to mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery will be emphasized. Past disasters will be analyzed as to the impact on policy formation up to and including current FEMA practices. Emergency management will be discussed as it applies to role, duty, and ethical issues.
