Students volunteer at various local drug and alcohol agencies. The focus is on addiction as a disease as well as environmental contributions to the addiction. The effects on the individual and family will be covered in addition to other support systems for those affected by addictions. A LCADC (License Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) at the agency directs and monitors the students’ activities 90 hours during the semester. 90 hours of field experience required.
