ENGL 102 — English Composition II
3 Lecture Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: C or better in ENGL 101 or ENGL 101E English 102 requires students to read selected literature, including prose fiction, poems, and plays, and to write a series of critical/ analytical essays based on those works, employing proper documentation. Students continue to develop the writing skills, tools, and research methods covered in ENGL 101. As a writing course, ENGL 102 will challenge students to develop the ability to write logically structured critical responses to literary works, which may incorporate connections to other literary works, nonfiction essays, literary criticism, or other scholarly writing.
