ENGL 215 — Immigrant Voices in American Literature
3 Lecture Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: ENGL 101 or ENGL 101E Immigrant Voices in American Literature focuses on writings by and about immigrants to the United States starting with the first settlers and closing with 21st century newcomers. Through the study of fiction, poetry, drama, and non-fiction, students will examine the American immigrant experience as reflected in these authors’ writings and their influence in the larger American literary cannon.
