EXSI 305 — Exercise Physiology with Laboratory
3 Lecture Hours, 2 Lab Hours, 4 Credits Prerequisites: C or higher in BIOL 105 and BIOL 106 This course is designed to explore the acute responses and chronic adaptations to exercise. Areas of discussion will include the cardiorespiratory, neuromuscular, and endocrine systems. Bioenergetics, metabolism, and the physiology of training is also explored. Students will learn how these systems function from rest to maximal exercise in fit, unfit, athletic, and diseased populations at the cellular level.
