HIST 101 — Western Civilization I

3 Lecture Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: ENGL 060 or ENGL 100 This course will acquaint students with the major ideas, people, places, and events that have shaped the course of Western civilization from its beginnings through the sixteenth century. Students will be encouraged to develop a critical and analytical approach to the study of historical problems. Students should understand the complexity of historical forces and increase their understanding of political, social, economic, social, and intellectual developments and their interrelation.
