MUSI 110 — Choral Workshop II
2 Studio Hours, 2 Lecture Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: MUSI 109 Choral Workshop II is open to students who have successfully completed Choral Workshop I. This course develops vocal technique, broadens knowledge of musical notation and terminology, and advances sight reading through the study of a variety of choral works. Participation in several public performances may be required. Students may enroll in subsequent Choral Workshop classes. NOTE: • Enrollment is conditional and subject to audition during the first class of the semester to determine the student’s ability to sing. • Students who do not pass the audition will be asked to drop the class and will be assisted in choosing a replacement course. • Course requirements include preparing for and participating in a concert with a community chorus.
