4 Lecture Hours, 90 Clinical Hours, 6 Credits Prerequisites: ENGL 060 or ENGL 100 Corequisite or Prerequisite: BIOL 105, PSYC 101, ENGL 101/ENGL 101E Corequisite: NURS 111 – Nursing I Lab Program Fee: $2,000 This course serves as the foundation for health and wellness promotion and disease prevention in beginning nursing practice. Focus will be on the concepts related to health across the lifespan, and an introduction in the delivery of competent, quality, safe patient centered care. Concepts from pharmacology, nutrition, pathophysiology, and safety across the lifespan are utilized to provide care in a variety of healthcare settings. Clinical experiences occur in a variety of health care settings.
